Our commitment to Indonesian gibbon conservation

At Pip and Zoe’s Amazing Adventures, we believe in the importance of conservation. Specifically, because of our beautiful and much-loved Gibbon, Jemima, who was part of our family for 5 years when we were children in Indonesia in the 1970s & 80s, we support the rehabilitation of captive primates which includes the preservation of rainforest habitat.

Whilst Jemima was bought with a view to rescue her, we do not condone the purchase or possession of wild animals under any circumstances.

Gibbons are an integral part of the unique Indonesian rainforest ecosystem. Unfortunately, due to deforestation and illegal hunting, these magnificent primates face significant challenges that threaten their very existence. We invite you to support Kalaweit, an organisation that over the last 25 years has ‘fought for the preservation of biodiversity in Indonesia.’

Kalaweit has contributed to the preservation and protection of over 2000 hectares of rainforest, and they have rescued from captivity and rehabilitated thousands of gibbons and other wild animals.
